An art museum you can kid around in!
The Arizona Museum for Youth (AMY) is a fine arts museum for children designed to spark the imagination, stimulate the mind and captivate the eye. A place to introduce your family to art, the museum hosts several changing exhibits each year and features ArtVille for kids under 4, as well as a dynamic array of classes. The Art Galleries change shows several times a year so there is always something new. Or for our visitors 4 years and younger -

Table Manners
March 29 through September 14, 2008
The dinner table is often a place where families gather to talk about their days and share a good meal. For many artists, though, it serves as a source of inspiration, leading them to create work that examines the evolution of kitchen-related objects, food preparation and sharing. Table Manners offers a refreshing look at artwork and objects created from an imaginative range of materials, and celebrates decades of artists transforming the family table and kitchen devices into objects of beauty, whimsy and wit. The messages of the materials, and their very familiarity, add layers of content and the delight of recognition.

Sonoran Safari
May 3 through August 10, 2008
The Sonoran Desert region is home to many native plant and animal species, and artists from around the world have been inspired by this unspoiled desert area and its creatures. Sonoran Safari features artwork focusing on this region, often regarded as the jewel of Arizona’s natural surroundings.
