Art Exhibitions
The Art Galleries at the
Arizona Museum for Youth feature visually
stimulating exhibitions on various themes that
engage the visitor by presenting innovative artwork
in various media and including activities to learn
about the elements of art and the techniques of art
making.

"Dia
de los Muertos"
(Day of
the Dead)
Aug. 22 - Nov. 30,
2008
Celebrated in Mexico and certain parts of the United
States, including Mesa,
the
museum brings this Mexican-Aztecan holiday to life
by featuring the artwork of a select number of
Arizona artists who explore and celebrate the
tradition of honoring our ancestors.
"Table
Manners"
Now on Exhibit thru
Sep. 14, 2008
The dinner table is often a place
where families gather to talk about their days and
share a good meal. For many artists, though, it
serves as a source of inspiration, leading them to
create work that examines the evolution of
kitchen-related objects and food consumption and
preparation. “Table
Manners”
offers a refreshing look
at artwork and objects created from an imaginative
range of materials, and celebrates decades of
artists transforming kitchen devices into objects of
beauty, whimsy and wit.
