About Your Group Visit or Tour:

There are two options for your visit. You can visit the gallery at your own pace with a self-guided tour or schedule a tour led by a Gallery Educator and enjoy a related art studio activity. Please review the option guidelines below. 

ARTFUL TALES EXPERIENCE
- A new art and literary program for preschool-age children at AMY

This fall, AMY is launching a new art and literacy-based early childhood preschool program, The ArtFul Tales Experience. Designed for children ages 2-5, this program was specifically created for organized early childhood groups including daycare, preschool, homeschool groups, and other similar groups. The Experience includes 45 minutes in a classroom for a private story time led by one of our trained Gallery Educators/Volunteer Docents and a hands-on art activity that is based on the theme of the book. The group will then have an opportunity to visit the museum and have free exploration time in ArtVille, the Art Gallery, and ArtZone. Museum exploration time will vary depending on the size of the group, but we suggest allowing at least 45-60 minutes. An activity information packet will be provided for each teacher/caregiver in the group which includes information on the activity, our galleries/exhibitions, and suggested extension activities for the classroom.

Other Tour options:

1) Guided Tours (kindergarten and up, minimum 20 children)

      Art Gallery:

• Offered Tuesday through Friday

• Museum Gallery Educator guided tour through exhibition and art studio activity (90 minutes)

• Maximum 120 children

2) Self-Guided Visits (requires one adult for every 20 children)

      ArtVille: For preschool children 4 years of age and younger

• Available during regular hours

• ArtVille schedules group visits for preschoolers and younger (currently unavailable to kindergarten group tours)

      Art Gallery: For kindergarten and up

• Available during regular hours

• Self-guided museum experience through the Art Gallery exhibition

To Make a Reservation:
Reservations for groups are required at least 5 days in advance. For guided visits, you must reserve your date at least 2 weeks in advance.

Group Admission:The admission rate for groups is $5.00 per person. 

Group admission rates are for organized groups of 10 or more with an advance reservation. Reservations for school groups are required at least 2 weeks in advance. Reservations for self-guided groups are required at least 5 days in advance. In order to receive this special rate, groups must pre-register, receive a confirmation letter, check-in at the museum at one time and pay in one transaction. Please call 480.644.2775 to make a reservation or for more information.
